July, 2007 to June, 2009

-->
This is a brief update covering the highlights of the almost two years from July 2007 to May 2009. I started the blog in 2007, but got lazy and stopped posting. I hope to make regular entries in the future.

First the most important highlight, the birth of our second grandchild, Nate, in October 2007.

In December 2007, we sold our Hitchhiker 5th wheel trailer and pickup truck

And bought a 2003 motorhome, a 40 foot long Phaeton, which we call the "Bug". It looks a little like a bug with the windows for eyes, the black mirrors for antennas and kind of a mouth in the area of the license plate.

After our winter of 2007/2008 visiting Brett & Dawn and the grandkids in San Antonio and Sarita in Lewisville we went to the Northeastern US and far Eastern Canada. We left Lewisville April 1st and returned in mid September. We drove the Bug 8,400 miles, roundtrip. Also we drove the Blazer another 5,000 miles sightseeing. We visited Boston, Mass. and the coast of Maine. From there we continued into New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. One of these days I’ll create a series of entries detailing this trip.

We especially loved the 7 weeks we spent visiting Newfoundland, Canada.

We spent the fall, winter and spring of 2008/2009 visiting with Sarita in Lewisville and the grandkids is San Antonio. It has been a great 8 months or so visiting with family, especially
Ehren

and Nate.

Our summer plans have us leaving San Antonio, June 13th and spending the next four months in the mountains of central Colorado, returning to San Antonio in early October for Nate’s second birthday, Ehren’s fifth birthday in December, and of course being here for Christmas.
